We probably already made it pretty obvious that we are absolutely in love with Italian food. We never say no to pasta, even though one-third of our team follows a gluten-free diet ( gluten-free pasta are our good friends). 

Among the many types of pasta that we consume on a weekly basis, spaghetti carbonara are probably top 3. They check all our requirements: quick, easy to make and have we mentioned they’re absolutely delicious? 

If you mention spaghetti carbonara to 1000 different people, you will probably get 1000 different opinions on the best, proper, traditional or the most delicious way to cook them. We prefer to make them the way we like them, but this doesn’t mean we don’t absolutely love the traditional dish – we just can’t help but get a bit creative sometimes.

As long as you mix fresh, organic ingredients you should always be able to get an absolute treat in under 20 minutes. We like to use pancetta, free-range eggs, organic cooking cream and freshly grated parmesan.

Best of all? This dish is actually pretty inexpensive to make. 


Spaghetti Carbonara Ingredients

Spagthetti Carbonara Ingredients 


We used 2 eggs.


One tbs is enough to fry pancetta.


You can go with pork or even turkey pancetta

Cooking cream

If you are lactose intolerant you can skip this ingredient. If not, this adds so much creaminess that you really have to try it.


Medium thickness spaghetti. You can also opt for gluten-free pasta.


We recommend freshly grated parmesan.

Salt and freshly ground pepper


How to make Spaghetti Carbonara

Step 1

Boil spaghetti in salted water, as per package instructions.

Step 2

Whisk eggs and mix them with cooking cream

Step 3

Fry pancetta in one tbs of oil until crisp.

Step 4

when your spagthetti are ready, add them to the frying pan over your pancetta and cook for 1 minute. Remove the pan from heat and add your eggs with cooking cream. Serve with freshly grated parmesan.

  • 9 z spaghetti
  • 7 oz pancetta
  • 7 oz  cooking cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbs oil
  • 3.5 gr grated parmesan
  • salt and pepper

1. Boil pasta

2. Whisk eggs with cooking cream

3. Fry pancetta in 1 tbs of oil until crisp.

4. Add spaghetti to frying pan with oil and pancetta. Cook for a minute, remove from heat and add egg with cream. Serve with grated parmesan.

Goes great with a glass of red wine.
