Learn how to make panna cotta in a few quick steps

  • Servings: 4
  • Preparation time :  30 minutes ( plus another 2-3 hours in the fridge)

Ingredients Panna Cotta

For the Panna Cotta

  • 10g gelatine
  • 500ml sweet cream
  • 90ml cold milk
  • 50g sugar depending on how sweet you like your deserts
  • vanilla or rum essence

For the sauce

  • You can use any topping or make your own

Instructions

1st step: Get jelly with it

Start by mixing the gelatin with the cold milk and let it rest for about 5 minutes to soften. Most probably this will take all of your mixing skills or simply you can cheat (like us), and use a small coffee blender :).

2nd step: Things get serious

In a small saucepan mix the cream with sugar and bring to a boil over moderately high heat. Do not let the ingredients boil for too long. Just until they slightly start bubbling. When they start doing their little dance add the gelatin mixture and vanilla. Stir for a little bit longer until everything seems perfectly incorporated.

3rd step: Get your cups ready

Place the whole magic in cups. Little advice: use silicon cups or plastic because it is much easier to get the Panna Cotta out of it and create a fancy serving. If you use glass or any other kind of cups the pudding will just stuck to it and there is no gentle way to pull it out…telling you this out of experience.

Shove it in the fridge for about 2 or 3 hours and….wait.

4th step: Get creative

This is the fun part. If you used plastic cups simply drill a hole with the tip of a knife at the bottom of the glass and the Panna Cotta will slide right out. You can literary use whatever you please as topping from jam to fruit and ice cream topping as long as it is to your liking.
